Getting important documents notarized shouldn’t mean rearranging your entire day.
Whether you need an affidavit commissioned, a signature witnessed, or a certified true copy of a document, I’ll help you understand what’s required and get the paperwork completed properly.
With mobile notary appointments available by arrangement in Mississauga and surrounding areas, you can take care of your documents without an unnecessary trip to a law office.

A notary public is authorized to perform specific official functions involving legal documents, signatures, sworn statements, and certified copies.
In Ontario, notaries public operate under the Notaries Act.
Depending on the document and applicable requirements, a notary may verify a signature, certify a true copy of an original document, or administer an oath or affirmation.
You might need a notary when applying for certain educational programs, completing immigration-related paperwork, submitting business documents, or preparing documents for use in another country.
However, not every document needs to be notarized.
Some only require a witness or commissioner for taking affidavits, while others must be completed through a particular government office or issuing authority.
I’ll help you identify the service you need so you don’t spend time or money on the wrong type of certification.
I understand that people usually need notarial services because they’re trying to complete something important.
It might be a business transaction, an application, a family matter, or paperwork with a deadline.
I’ll explain what’s required, help you prepare for the appointment, and complete the appropriate notarial service where the legal requirements are satisfied.
You’ll deal directly with me, and I’ll explain the process without unnecessary legal terminology.
We can also discuss available payment options and whether Spanish-language assistance would be helpful.
The process starts with a conversation about the documents you need completed.
I’ll ask what type of document you have, where it will be submitted, and whether the receiving organization has provided any specific instructions.
We’ll also discuss how many documents need attention, what identification you’ll need, and whether any signatures must be completed in my presence.
Once the requirements are clear, we can arrange a suitable appointment location and discuss availability and applicable fees.
During the appointment, I’ll verify your identity, examine the relevant documents, and complete the appropriate notarial formalities where legally permitted.
Some documents must be signed in the notary’s presence, so please don’t sign them beforehand unless you’ve confirmed that doing so is appropriate.
My goal is to help you arrive prepared and avoid unnecessary delays.
Notarization and commissioning requirements vary considerably depending on the purpose of the document.
Common examples include:
Declarations relating to personal or financial matters
Not every document can be notarized in every circumstance, and some organizations impose additional requirements.
Before booking, it’s helpful to confirm exactly what the receiving organization needs.
If you’re unsure, send me the relevant instructions so we can discuss the appropriate next step.
Being prepared makes the process easier.
You’ll generally need the document requiring notarization, valid government-issued identification, and any original documents that must be examined for certification.
Depending on the document, additional identification or evidence of your authority to sign may be necessary.
If the document is intended for a government agency, financial institution, educational institution, or foreign authority, bring any instructions they’ve provided.
It’s also important to let me know if multiple people need to sign or if a document requires additional witnesses.
A quick conversation beforehand can help prevent the need for another appointment.
Disbursements and HST apply to all fees. Services will be performed by a duly licenced lawyer.
